🚨CENLA UPDATE🚨The U.S. Supreme Court heard Louisiana’s congressional map case on Wednesday. The issue is over district 6 (Rep. Cleo Fields’ district). The map was recently redrawn to include a second minority majority district in the state. It comes after a judge ruled there needed to be two minority majority districts since Louisiana’s population is 1/3 African American. Those against the map say it was racially gerrymandered. State Rep. Mike Johnson was in Washington, D.C. for the arguments.
